DRIVEWAYS
Permeable Block Paved Driveway in Dulwich
Dulwich, South East London
THE BRIEF
A practical driveway designed for a period home
The client wanted a new driveway that would complement the period character, brickwork and colours of the property. Brick Stone Projects created a coordinated entrance design combining permeable block paving, traditional materials and carefully matched masonry.
The finished frontage needed to provide effective drainage and everyday practicality while feeling naturally connected to the architecture of the house.
Before and during the transformation

THE WORK
Permeable paving with traditional entrance details
A permeable block paved driveway was installed to provide an attractive and practical surface while allowing rainwater to drain through the paving system. The varied tones of the blocks were selected to complement the brick façade and create a finish that feels naturally connected to the house.
A new front boundary wall was constructed using bricks chosen to coordinate with the existing property. Its proportions and detailing help frame the entrance while maintaining the traditional character of the street.
The entrance was completed with a small Yorkstone pathway leading towards the front door. Victorian mosaic tiles were installed at the doorstep, adding a distinctive period detail and creating a refined transition into the home.
